Sipcall, a Switzerland-based VoIP service provider, announced it is offering the Siemens (News - Alert) Gigaset A580 IP phone for CHF 89 to its customers as summer promotion. The VoIP-Dect phone is ideal for residential users and small businesses enabling two VoIP calls and one PSTN/ISDN call taking place at the same time, according to the company. The Gigaset A580 IP includes a voucher of CHF 25 sipcall VoIP call credit and the promotion runs until 30 August.
Speaking of VoIP phones, Chinese IP phone maker Yealink recently unveiled its “Simply IP phone SIP-T18P.”
According to company sources, the Simply IP Phone (News - Alert) SIP-T18P is based on the SIP standard and has been extensively tested so as to conform to comprehensive interoperability requirements for IP PBX and soft switches. This is expected to enable service providers to launch feature rich services to customers rapidly.
Yealink (News - Alert) SIP-T18P features all the functionalities seen in the SIP-T2x series phones including the classical outlook, sound structure, crafting and optimum voice quality. It comes equipped with T1 TITAN chipset and T1 voice engine besides offering comprehensive telephony features such as the 3-way conferencing, PoE, auto provision and 2 programmable keys for speed dial, DND and forward and many other features. Yealink SIP-T18P also supports IVR system.
Company sources added that the name simply phone SIP-T18P indicates that the phone is ideal to operate in all locations offering basic call handling features. It is most suitable for hospitals, hotels, supermarkets, storehouses and student apartments.
