Yealink Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of high definition Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) end-point devices, announced that it has been chosen for membership in the Avaya DevConnect program.

 The company's high-definition SIP end-point devices open with the T18 - a single line, SIP, PoE device that is the SIP equivalent of the Analogue Telephone and continue through the T20/T22/T26 and T28 executive range of multi-line units with displays. Some support Busy Lamp Fields "BLF" also, said officials with IP phone maker Yealink (News - Alert).

In addition, Yealink's executive range of SIP devices support high definition "HD" speech codec, HD speakerphone, a HD headset port, 2 x RJ45 ports, PoE and TR069 auto provisioning.

Avaya's DevConnect (News - Alert) program encourages development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based solutions from Avaya (News - Alert) Inc. 

The program currently includes thousands of software and hardware developer companies, integrators, service providers and customers.  The member organizations of the program are companies offering a broad range of technologies such as unified communications, contact centers and mobility applications.

In addition, Members companies of the program have created a broad array of solutions that have been tested for Avaya compliance, such as natural language speech recognition applications, wireless services, specialized computer telephony integration and reporting capabilities, and applications designed specifically for vertical industries.

Andrew Roberts, CEO Yealink Limited said in a press release that the membership in the developer community of Avaya will help the company to develop and supply products that will meet the customer's requirements.

Building on Avaya resources and working more closely with the company to deliver compliance-tested solutions to the market, Yealink is now able to provide high quality, low cost SIP end points, wherein businesses can quickly realize a benefit to their bottom line, added Roberts.

Avaya has been offering a number of platforms and interfaces for member companies via the DevConnect program. In addition, members companies have access to a wide range of support from Avaya, including technical resources and training.

The DevConnect program membership has three levels namely Registered, Gold and Platinum - each entailing progressive levels of marketing and sales involvement.
