Partnership Extends snom's IP Phone Reach

snom technology AG is continuing to expand its footprint in the North American market, making its portfolio of advanced IP phones available throughout the United States and Canada.
 
The Beverly, Mass.-based developer and manufacturer of advanced VoIP phones for the enterprise and residential markets has now teamed with SYNNEX Corporation, a North American consumer electronics distributor, to make its products available to an even wider audience.

 
"snom SIP phones combine advanced IP telephony features, elegant design with an affordable price point. We believe that our customers will see value in this blend of price and performance," said Bob Stegner, senior vice president of marketing at North America for SYNNEX Corporation.
 
In fact, the extensive range of snom SIP phones was just last week extended itself, as the company launched its latest IP business VoIP phone with a wide touch screen display designed with an intuitive interface.
 
The snom 870, a desktop VoIP enabled phone, is the latest addition to the company's “8” series of fourth generation SIP phones for small- and mid-sized business markets.
 
Under the terms of this deal, SYNNEX OEM and reseller customers have the ability to incorporate snom's advanced security features and interoperability with the snom 820 VoIP phone and the broadly used snom 3xx series. Besides the highly functional SIP desk phones, the company has the snom m3 DECT (News - Alert) mobility phone and the innovative snom MeetingPoint wideband SIP conference phone.
 
In a recent interview with TMCnet’s Rich Tehrani, Mike Storella (News - Alert), director of business development at snom technologies AG, said that the renewed focus on the Internet ­ especially by the Obama Administration as a way to stimulate economic growth ­– is a new twist on an old idea.
 
Storella, whose company is exhibiting at ITEXPO West in two months, said he is a strong proponent of WiFi (News - Alert) and believes snom’s products can help companies solve financial problems during this economic slide.
 
snom phones have built in support unified communications solutions such as Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and its portfolio of VoIP phones provide a VoIP communication system to the home, SMB, SME, Enterprise and hosted ITSPs markets.
 
In addition, snom's SIP phones create viable remote worker options with VPN while operating with reduced costs as the most energy efficient, green VoIP phones.
