snom technology AG’s is offering its Flexor CTI (News - Alert) software for Outlook free on the German company’s Web site.

Flexor CTI software is designed to seamlessly combine Microsoft Outlook and CRM applications such as Dynamics CRM, Salesforce and NetSuite (News - Alert) within the IP telephony framework.

 

As TMCnet recently reported, snom, a developer and manufacturer of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephone, teamed with Camrivox (News - Alert) to make the Flexor CTI software available for snom’s flagship IP phone, the snom 870.

 

The software delivers call features such as click-to-dial, on-screen call control and journaling, while call logging enables management reporting and analysis to maximize call performance and efficiency, according to the company.

 

The teaming gives users full control of their snom phones from the desktop and helps users to make and receive calls from within their applications and to automatically record activities and notes against customers and leads.

 

As Tom Keating (News - Alert), CTO, vice president and founder of TMC Labs, recently wrote on his blog here Microsoft Outlook is the most widely used contact manager with a market share of over 60 percent of e-mail users.

 

The Flexor CTI bypasses the need for costly servers and IT support and instead is designed for speeding implementation and minimizing financial risk, according to Malcolm Wood CEO of Camrivox.

 

“And with our no-strings offer of a free Flexor CTI for Outlook license, we’ve removed all barriers to the CTI experience,” said Wood. “We believe CTI should be accessible to all companies, regardless of size.”

The company, headquartered in Berlin with North American center operations in Massachusetts, has continued to drive more users to the VoIP business model and has instituted a worldwide series of training events on installing the VoIP telecommunications systems by Asterisk (News - Alert)  and snom’s VoIP telephones.
