Grandstream Unveils VoIP Phone Upgrades for Small Businesses, Enterprises
By Dominick Sorrentino, Web Editor

Modern information and communication technology has conceived a bevy of useful collaboration tools: video conferencing solutions, cloud-based networks, bring-your-own-device polices, the integration of smartphones into unified communications, and even the nascent inclusion of wearable devices as a possible business communication endpoint. That said, the heart and soul of business communication for so many companies continues to be the telephone. And as long as this is the case, IP Phone (News - Alert) companies will continue to make headlines as they update their portfolios with new iterations of VoIP phones.

Today, it was Grandstream’s turn to occupy the spotlight. Upgrades to two of its top-of-the-line VoIP phone product lines—the GXP1600, and GXP2100—are now available at VoIP Supply, a leading provider of VoIP Solutions.

The GXP1600 Series

Specifically, Grandstream has released the GXP1623, two-line SIP phone which features three-way conferencing capabilities, a full-duplex speakerphone with echo cancellation, and a massive phonebook that can fit up to 500 contacts and 200 call history records, among other features. The benefactors of the new product will be small-and-medium sized businesses, and employees that need a hookup for the home office. With the proliferation of global remote workforces, phones such as the GXP1623 won’t get shortchanged on fanfare any time soon.

 The GXP2100 series

On the other end of the spectrum, GXP2160—with its six lines, five programmable soft keys, crystal clear, G.722 HD voice, sizable 4.3” color LCD display, support for Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) with Plantronics (News - Alert) Headsets, and much more—was developed with the enterprise in mind. The features make it ideal for larger companies that have high call volumes and regularly require availability of multiple lines. This makes the five-way audio conferencing feature especially useful. The phone’s ability to seamlessly integrate with most leading telephony platforms is also a huge plus—especially as enterprises adopt a growing number of communication channels to make collaboration as fluid as possible.

Both of the new phones are available for purchase via VoIP supply.

For anyone who thought the phone cord was going the way of the dodo, think again. As Grandstream’s new offerings show, VoIP phones are flying high in big and small business landscapes, and show no signs of coming down anytime soon.
