Blue Jeans Puts Yealink to the Test
By Maurice Nagle, Web Editor

As Yealink (News - Alert) has only recently made its foray into the video conferencing space, its strides in the market are fast and furious toward domination. The global leader in the provision of unified communication terminals announced today that its HD video conferencing has passed interoperability testing with Blue Jeans.

Specifically, Yealink’s VC series including the VC120 and VC400 passed testing, and are now compatible with Blue Jeans Network. The VC400, for use in head offices and the VC120, intended for branch offices, will provide firms with easy access to video collaboration. Yealink solutions aim to help SME’s by providing a quality product at a reasonable rate.

“We are very excited to see the successful interoperability tests with Blue Jeans’ cloud service,” said Yealink Vice President Stone Lu (News - Alert). “We developed our VC Series to overcome the obstacles SMEs face when attempting to leverage video with flexibility and ease.”

The successful testing translates into users being able to share content (in 1080p) and record meetings at the push of a button in a secure manner. Limited IT resources, licensing and update fees will not affect SME adoption of Yealink’s solutions, as the Blue Jeans Network coupled with industry-leading solutions create a winning team.

Lu explained, “Our ‘SME-friendly’ endpoints working with Blue Jeans’ cost-effective cloud service brings benefits beyond saving travel costs for customers,” he added. “We look forward to accelerating video collaboration for the SME market.”

Next on the horizon for Yealink will be the release of its all-in-one video conferencing endpoint VC110 and the SIP-T49G, its next desktop videophone offerings.

Blue Jeans notes its purpose is to “bring great minds together to meet, share ideas and reach their audiences through the power of video collaboration.” Today’s announcement is yet another feather in the cap of video conferencing and collaboration. Stay tuned—Yealink still has a card or two up its sleeve.
