Panasonic (News - Alert) has introduced the KX-NS700 compact hybrid communication platform targeted toward small-and-medium-sized businesses (SMBs), which harnesses the power of IP-based technologies to provide powerful telephony services.
"The KX-NS700 offers tremendous flexibility for our SMB customers, including the advanced Unified Communication features customers want, ability to combine legacy digital and IP trunks for a flexible and cost effective system, and the expandability to support additional features as a business grows," Gary Moeller, product manager for Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. "All of these capabilities make our new Smart Hybrid Communication server a great choice for a wide range of businesses.”
The system has the same features of the KX-NS1000 IP communications server, but designed for smaller businesses, giving them access to advanced features that have been previously only available on enterprise phone systems.
It’s possible to assign one extension to two different phone numbers, which makes it possible to redirect calls from an office extension to a mobile phone, which is ideal for people who sometimes work out of the office or even for telecommuters.
The system also has advanced voicemail capabilities, such as 24 channels of simultaneous recording and the ability to store up to 400 hours of audio. Users can also check their voice messages through email, which is a welcome addition for anybody who has had to suffer through navigating voicemail systems on their phones, which is almost everybody.
The KX-NS700 is also ideal for contact center operations, with call routing functionality and the ability to record calls for review by management.
The whole thing can be configured using a web-based interface, and can interface Panasonic’s line of IP phones, as well as smartphones and tablets.
It’s already proved itself in the real world even in beta testing. The law firm of Dye, Deitrich, Petruff & St. Paul was one of the testers.
"The new Panasonic hybrid communications solution has helped us be more efficient and allows us to quickly respond to incoming calls and requests from our clients,” Jackie Vingelli, the firm’s office administrator, said. "The products have been performing extremely well and the whole process has been a seamless experience."
