IP and SIP phone provider Yealink (News - Alert) recently partnered with the FreeSWITCH project, offering both engineering and technical help as part of FreeSWITCH’s open source IP communications platform.

FreeSWITCH is a scalable, open-source cross-platform telephony platform designed to route and interconnect popular communication protocols using audio, video, text or any other form of media. 

Those who are using VoIP infrastructure based on FreeSWITCH-powered servers and Yealink can now take advantage of the new partnership, all while saving money on communication costs.

Yealink has made several partnerships that have led to its expansion within the IP phone industry. Earlier this year, it announced alliances with AlloyCP, Epygi (News - Alert) Technologies and nexVortex for a reseller road show targeted towards west coast IT telephony resellers.

The success of the road show led to expansion in Canada where Yealink united with 3CX, Patton, Iristel, Run and ThinkTel (News - Alert) to host presentations, product showcasings, live system demonstrations, product roadmaps and one-on-one time with solution specialists. Yealink will specifically show off its IP phones and the interoperability with Patton (News - Alert) Gateways and 3CX.

The show runs through May 9 in five locations across Canada.
