Vertical Communications (News - Alert), a provider of unified communications or UC and IP telephony solutions, has unveiled an enhanced version of MBX IP. The latest release, version 2.0, offers supplementary sophisticated features capable of supporting Voice over IP (VoIP) and digital technologies for small business customers.
MBX IP is an IP phone system that delivers digital and VoIP capabilities for up to 250 users and 72 sites in a single package. It offers hundreds of telephony features, including call forwarding, SMDR, VoIP, internal/external paging and least cost routing.

The latest version features a highly developed supervisor function, enhanced voice mail and unified messaging features along with strong IP security competences. Enhanced SIP assistance is also offered by the latest software package. Users can therefore expand IP services, like conferencing to desktop phones and other normal SIP telephone endpoints.
