AVSystem, a provider of TR-069 solutions for telcos, service providers and device manufacturers, is hosting a special program of free TR-069 interoperability testing this summer. For all of July and August, AVSystem’s QA department will perform basic TR-069 interoperability testing for registered device manufacturers that will cover both compliance with TR-069 standard and interoperability with the TR-069 Auto Configuration Server (ACS (News - Alert)) from AVSystem.
There are different ways of implementing the TR-069 protocol, which specifically defines a common method for CPE devices to communicate with an Auto Configuration Server. Extensive interoperability tests are necessary to provide easy deployments, functional compatibility and satisfaction of end users. TR-069 interoperability testing may eventually give device manufacturers the chance to extend their market coverage and improve customer experience.
AVSystems’ unique testing procedure guarantees optimal behavior of devices in a final network. The company’s interoperability testing experience includes testing a wide range of devices used in telco business – wired and wireless modems, routers, gateways, ATAs, IP phones, IPTV set-top boxes and many more.
One of the 50 vendors AVSystem officially supports includes Yealink (News - Alert), a provider of VoIP phone and IP communication solutions. AVSystem’s TR-069 client was first integrated in Yealink IP phones in 2010.
“Yealink did the right choice in selecting AVSystem as its strategic partner for TR-069 module for IP phone family,” said Stone Lu, vice president of Yealink. “Thanks to the lowest memory footprint and excellent abstraction of the AVSystem solution, we were capable of a fast integration of TR-069 client. Nowadays, TR-069 is a ‘must have’ feature for any company supplying Telco with IP phones.”
Yealink’s products include cloud-based service, USB VoIP phone, IP phone and IP video phone. Its VP530 recently passed the interoperability test with BroadSoft (News - Alert), a worldwide innovator of VoIP applications. The VP530 is unified with audio and video and features three-way video conferencing, easy-to-use phonebook solution and three-touch dial.
