snom Technology, the German manufacturer of SIP-based Voice over IP phones had better make room on the mantel above their fireplace this holiday season. By way of a recent announcement, the company is touting the fact that they have ranked first among German communication and networking enterprises in winning the Deloitte (News - Alert) (News - Alert) fast 500 EMEA award.
This is the first time snom has won the coveted honor. Each year, Deloitte ranks the 500 fastest-growing technology enterprises in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and recognizes them for their entrepreneurial excellence. Snom, whose product line includes a variety of cutting edge IP phones, was ranked first among German communication and networking enterprises. With a growth rate of 56 percent from 2002 to 2006, snom placed 125th in the overall ranking and 12th among German participants.
"The high growth confirms the confidence our customers and partners have in the quality of our VoIP phones, and it also shows that our standards meet the demands of the market," said Dr. Michael Knieling, executive director of sales and marketing for snom. "We will continue to focus on growth and further development of innovative VoIP technology in order to be able to maintain our position among the international market leaders of the VoIP industry."
Just recently, in October, snom was among the winners of the German Deloitte "Fast 50" program and considerably exceeded the average growth rate determined by Deloitte. The Deloitte ranking calculates this growth rate based on the cumulative annual revenue growth rates of the past five years.
