IP phone systems distributor Novus is now distributing Ferrari electronic’s OfficeMaster Gate media gateway featuring support for the next generation Microsoft Lync Server 2013, including the IPv6 protocol.

With this announcement Novus becomes the first official distributor of Ferrari electronic products for the North American market.

Resellers now have the option to choose Ferrari electronic OfficeMaster Gate media gateway and OfficeMaster SBA survivable branch appliance as either appliances or PCI (News - Alert) boards that can be installed in servers from HP and other leading manufacturers.

“Ferrari electronic is currently the only European manufacturer of an enhanced gateway certified for Microsoft Lync Server 2010, and it’s the first manufacturer to integrate its gateway with Lync Server 2013,” said Novus managing partner Chris Meehan (News - Alert), in a statement.

“This creates a compelling value proposition for resellers because they can install software-based OfficeMaster Gate gateway cards now as proof of concepts and deliver a highly scalable gateway solution with a tremendous ROI to small and medium-sized businesses looking for Lync migration solutions,” Meehan added. 

Ferrari electronic, in collaboration with Microsoft Lync product team, has developed the new firmware for the OfficeMaster Gate media gateway. The firmware has been tested at Microsoft over the last few months.  Ferrari electronic also released the firmware in July to coincide with the availability of the Lync 2013.

The licensing options will appeal resellers as it provides them with the options to configure gateway and survivable branch appliance functionality on a single card to reduce power consumption. This facility minimizes rack space and further reduces costs while benefitting from ongoing improvements through firmware upgrades that are free of charge within the current revision.

Additionally, Novus is offering a free comprehensive private training program for resellers who sign up to carry the Ferrari electronic products. The company also introduced a new promotion called the Novus ‘Lync in a Box’ (News - Alert) Bundle, which gives resellers an opportunity to save when deploying Ferrari electronic solutions with snom UC edition IP phones or Aastra phones.

Under this offer, resellers that purchase one Ferrari electronic OfficeMaster Gateway (News - Alert) with any combination of 50 snom UC edition IP phones will receive five additional phones free, and resellers that purchase one Ferrari electronic OfficeMaster Gateway with any combination of 50 Aastra IP phones will earn a $200 credit toward a future purchase.
