IP developer of desktop phones and communication solutions, snom technology AG, announced it would be expanding its product line to include a brand new phone ideal for almost all businesses at both an affordable and competitive price. The new phone, called the snom 710, will take advantage of the latest in VoIP technology.

“As customary for snom products, the newest member of the snom 7x business phone family fulfills the requirements of VoIP technology and additionally offers numerous functions that are indispensable for everyday working life,” said snom technology AG (News - Alert) in a statement. “Due to its excellent cost-performance ration, the snom 710 is ideal for both ITSP bundle products and for small and medium enterprises, home offices, and private users.”

The phone includes many of the features users have come to expect with the snom series including a four-line display, four SIP identities, five freely programmable function keys with LEDs, hands-free operation, power over Ethernet, a new audio subsystem designed for excellent performance, and VLAN. In addition, the phone will include typical functions such as extensions, speed dial, a user-friendly interface, and a complete settings menu.

snom 710 also comes with a preinstalled certificate signed by the snom certificate authority which makes it possible to securely provision the phone without manual interaction. In addition to the traditional provisioning mechanisms, the TR-069/TR-1111 protocols are also available for easy deployment.
