Late last week, snom made some announcements regarding plans for an upcoming road trip that would not only take them to a variety of destinations, but also let them show off some exciting new hardware options that they've recently brought to light.

First, snom's road trip will take them to Orlando, Florida, for the Channel Partners Conference & Expo set to run September 12-14. They will be found at Booth 724 with their new product line. Then, it will be off to Austin, Texas for the ITEXPO (News - Alert) West show October 2-5, where they will be at Booth 821. They'll be running two other shows nearly simultaneously as ITEXPO West, with stops planned for the Metaswitch Forum once again in Orlando running October 1-4, and the Interop (News - Alert) show in New York City October 1-5. Additionally, they're also set to hit CompTel Plus in Dallas, Texas, October 7-10 and then to Broadsoft Connections in Scottsdale, Arizona, October 21-24.

As for the new hardware snom has in mind to show, first out of the box will be the snom ONE mini IP PBX (News - Alert) system, a business telephony system specifically geared for what's known as the SOHO--Small Office Home Office--market. While it brings in plenty of useful features, like energy savings compared to other brands, a Linux operating system to keep it at least somewhat future-proof, cell phone integration, IPv6 compatibility and space for up to 20 extensions.

Plus, snom will also show off their new Apollo firmware, contained within the snom 821 SIP phone, as well as the snom 300 and snom 370 UC editions, all of which will not only be qualified on Apollo firmware by the show's launch, but also on display at the upcoming events.

Basically, snom has a whole lot planned for the not too distant future, and they're looking to put their best foot forward. The bad economy, coupled with the growing telecommuting movement, has put a new value in the small office and home office market, and snom is likely looking to capitalize on that by offering up a variety of new hardware geared specifically toward that market. The snom line has meant good things before, so it's a pretty safe bet they'll carry right on doing so. So be sure to check them out at one of the many shows they'll be found involved with, especially the massive ITEXPO West show this October!
