If you work in an office and have a unified communications (UC) system, there’s a good chance you have used one with snom technology.

Snom technology AG was founded in Berlin in 1996 and is one of the pioneers of the VoIP sector. The company has been working over the last 20 years to develop and produce VoIP telephones for business communications based on Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP).

Snom technology currently offers IP and VoIP DECT phones, SIP Conference and paging capabilities, UC and IP-PBX (News - Alert) products. Knowing how important communication is and understanding the benefits that accompany IP desktop phones/communication solutions, snom has decided to offer a free class to its value-added resellers (VAR).

According to a press release, the new class will be available to snom VARs within North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand. Although the class is free, resellers will still have to register online before participating. The class is designed to help them gain a certificate for the snom ONE IP PBX  and snom ONE plus IP PBX appliance products.

“Based on the popularity of our instructor-lead snom University VAR certification we are pleased to offer an online version of the curriculum,” said Mike Storella (News - Alert), Chief Operating Officer of snom technology. 

Although Storella referred to the instructor-led course, new online class will also provide a different experience. In snom’s e-learning space, users take their time studying in 16 courses of training. The online portal consists of 50 narrated videos, class simulations and real-world examples to help VARs learn as much as possible about the ONE IP PBX solution that snom offers.

Snom said it has worked hard to make sure its products are compatible with all users. “The devices are suitable for use in all business environments ranging from home offers to small and medium-size enterprises and large corporations,” officials said. “[The company] has been recognized for its high-quality, customizable and cost-effective business solutions.”

Offering this free class to snom resellers all over the world will help reiterate the importance of using the snom One IP PBX product family, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience.
