snom Shows 370 UC Qualifies for Microsoft Lync Server

The snom 370 UC edition, a multi-line desktop phone, is now qualified for Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync Server 2010. The 370 UC, as well as other IP phones from the company, was shown at Enterprise Connect 2012 in Orlando, Fla., and Channel Partners in Las Vegas, Nev., according to a snom blog post.

snom will also be taking part in other upcoming trade shows and meetings, including CompTel Plus in San Francisco, April 15 to 18, ACUTA Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Ind., April 29 to May 02, and Interop (News - Alert) in Las Vegas, May 06 to 10.

The snom 300 UC and snom 821 UC were previously certified for Microsoft Lync. The phones are being marketed toward businesses and are of interest to resellers, system integrators and IT departments, the company said.

The snom 370 UC edition is targeted to business executives. It has a large graphical display and PoE (Power over Ethernet) connectivity. It also features 12 programmable function keys and a mini-browser for XML applications.

The snom 300 is a business phone for daily use which features office functions, including choice of trunk line, status display, group lines, and an engaged option.

The snom 821 UC edition is also targeted for executives. With a dual SIP stack and color screen combination, the 821 provides advanced presence features. It also has a server side address book search with integrated presence. In addition, it has presence integrated in call history, as well as a contact list and search results. Also offered is advanced security on the server side, and a controlled keyboard lock.

snom technology AG (News - Alert) makes Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephones. They are based on open standards for enterprise communications. snom phones can also be used with compatible IP-PBX technology that supports the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert)), the company said. snom’s phones can be used in home offices, small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations, according to company information. snom also collaborates with OEM customers, carriers and Internet Service Providers, the company adds.
