Snom Launching ONE Plus to German Market at CeBIT

By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Hey, good news for the German VoIP phone market: Officials of snom say they company is launching their telephone offering, snom ONE plus, to the German market at CeBIT (News - Alert) (Hall 13, Stand C42).

The snom ONE plus is a phone system expandable with 10, 20 or 150 extensions and unlimited SIP trunks, and can get FXO, BRI and ISDN connectivity. It’s a good option to link home and mobile workers to the office, it’s not all that difficult to configure and it probably doesn’t cost as much as you think it does. Worth checking out.

“We have been overwhelmed by the amount of great feedback the snom has got so far at our fully booked training sessions,” company officials say, adding that snom ONE is now “widely regarded as a state-of-the-art IP-PBX (News - Alert) built on the combined know-how and experience snom has attained from 15 years’ experience as a leading vendor in the VoIP market.”

In February TMC’s Susan J. Campbell wrote that the snom m9 DECT (News - Alert) phone was released: “The company positions this launch as taking office mobility another step forward as this phone is a full-function mobile handset designed for business-class VoIP.”

The snom m9 was scheduled to be on display for the first time in the U.S. at the ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2011 in Miami in early February.

The idea, Campbell said, was “to provide business users with an affordable cordless VoIP phone that integrates with all major SIP-based IP PBXs.” The snom m9 combines snom’s high-interoperable IP communications firmware with an advanced DECT handset. The snom m9 handset will support four concurrent calls and can interconnect nine handsets at once to provide a highly scalable cordless option for small and medium-sized businesses.
