By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Digium, Inc., and Yealink, a professional IP voice and video phone designer and manufacturer, reportedly have completed interoperability testing for the Asterisk Business Edition and Yealink (News - Alert) SIP-T2x series.

Officials with Yealink said that the company’s SIP-T2x series is high performance and affordable SIP telephones that help businesses leverage the increasing benefits of VoIP telephone systems.

Yealink SIP phone provides the high quality audio, a brand range of voice codec, security protection for privacy, and rich telephone features, officials added. And now, Yealink enterprise HD IP phones now are compliance-tested by Digium for compatibility.

Digium is the creator, sponsor and driving force behind Asterisk (News - Alert), the most widely used open source telephony software. The company’ss product lines include a wide range of software and hardware that enable businesses to implement turnkey unified communications solutions or to design their own VoIP systems.

“The combination of Digium (News - Alert) and Yealink enterprise HD IP phone gives businesses a powerful and yet cost-effective choice in VoIP solution market,” said David Chen, CEO of Yealink, in a statement. “We believe we are providing the best price-performance benchmark in the industry, Digium and Yealink combination offers a very compelling value to SMB.”

In December, Elastix, one of the top open source projects in Latin-American with worldwide recognition and Yealink had announced the two firms have completed interoperability test in the Elastix (News - Alert) IP-PBX and Yealink SIP-T2x series full range of HD IP Phones.

Elastix is appliance software that integrates the best tools available for Asterisk-based PBXs into a single, easy-to-use interface.

It also adds its own set of utilities and allows for the creation of third party modules to make it the best software package available for open source telephony.

Elastix are reliability, modularity and ease-of-use. These characteristics added to the strong reporting capabilities make it the best choice for implementing an Asterisk-based PBX (News - Alert).
