By Rachel Ramsey, TMCnet Web Editor

Yealink’s (News - Alert) recently launched VP530 IP video phone offers unified audio, video and applications to be a powerful business video phone. The IP phone is winning market praise for its features and compatibility with major enterprise platforms.

The VP530 is interoperable with key IP-PBX solutions offered by vendors such as Astersik, BroadSoft, Avaya (News - Alert) and 3CX. It’s equipped with TI solution and features a highly responsive seven-inch LCD color screen, offering key functions such as video call, first pick up call, hold and resume, transfer, idle to dialing, call switch and menu.

The user-friendly features offered by the VP530 have earned praise from one Fortune 500 manager who commented, “Video plays an important role in our company, especially for communicating with branches abroad. Other phones cannot meet our needs as those branches use different platforms. Through its broad compatibility and ability to exploit various value-added applications, the VP530 improves working efficiency. Another benefit is that people can themselves set the most suitable and convenient GUI.”

The phone also offers a host of business-friendly features including three-way local audio conferencing, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) phonebook, BLF, Intercom, 2M pixel CMOS sensor camera and an 18 Direct Station Selection (DSS) key screen with status lights.

Its three-way videoconference facility can operate via the LifeSize (News - Alert) platform, the industry’s first integrated, virtualized software platform for video infrastructure that consolidates the capabilities of multiple products and makes them instantly available from one common interface. The VP530’s door phone function can also be used in conjunction with Mobotix and Linkcom, video and transformer manufacturers.

The IP video phone combines widespread interoperability with ease of use with adoption of Open API technologies, enabling control via PC and the integration of a wide range of third party applications such as customer relationship management (CRM) tools. It also enables customization of the graphical user interface (GUI) to suit specific business and organizational needs.
