Yealink’s (News - Alert) RPS is a free service offered to the company’s customers that eliminates the hassle and cost barriers associated with setting up an IP phone system. The company’s RPS does away with the process of unpacking, configuring or repacking a phone before it is shipped to the customer.

According to the IP phone maker, with automatic configuration, the mass deployment process can be simplified a great deal, which not only saves time but money as well. And the process of the deploying the RPS is just as easy. By simply entering the MAC address of an IP phone and the URL of the provision server into Yealink's RPS, users can redirect their phones pre-assigned server for configuration updating in the initial boot-up stage.

Yealink believes that adding the RPS to its portfolio of IP telephony solutions will help to advance the company’s position in the marketplace. In the past, selling an IP phone required an extensive process that was not only time laborious but also expensive and included the service provider or distributor having to unpack the phone, configure it and repack it again before shipping.

The release of Yealink RPS was created with eliminating this exact process for both the customer and service provider. Yealink RPS enables mass deployments in seconds and allows customers to register or upload the MAC addresses of their Yealink VoIP phones on Yealink's RPS server whille assigning a redirection URL pointing to their own Auto Provisioning Server.
