By Marisa Torrieri, TMCnet Editor

Those who dream following in the footsteps of Donny Osmond, ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 9 champion now have one more reason to envy the light-footed star.

He and other finalists were reportedly the lucky recipients of Grandstream’s GXV3140 IP Multimedia Phone (News - Alert), showcased in the only on-set gift lounge and celebrity gift bags for the Season 9 Finale of the show, which filmed in Los Angeles Nov. 24.

Invited stars, professional dancers, attending celebrities, judges and national/international press also received the GXV3140.

“We’re always looking for new and unique tech products that offer ways to stay connected and have that extra something,” said UMGX Entertainment’s David Cook, the celebrity services company responsible for gift lounges at shows including the “10th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards,”Dancing With The Stars” and “The 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards,” among others.

“The Grandstream video phone is the type of hip gadget we know will make a great addition to any celebrity lounge, especially this season’s finale of ‘Dancing with The Stars,’ Cook said. “The phone has a ton of applications for a desktop phone -- a lot of the features mobile and PC users are accustomed to -- such as YouTube (News - Alert), Internet radio and all the streaming media. It’s a cool phone.”

But even if you’re not a B-list celebrity, the GXV3140 desktop IP Multimedia Phone with built-in IPVideoTalk could be a great addition to holiday shopping lists.

It offers for no additional monthly fee, face-to-face two-way or three-way video calling out-of-the-box along with instant access to Web and social multimedia applications, according to Grandstream. With its 4.3” digital color LCD screen, the ‘always-on’ GXV3140 has an integrated web browser giving consumers convenient, one-touch access to personalized RSS feeds of real-time online information services (news updates, stock updates, weather forecasts, directory searches, etc.), thousands of Internet radio stations, social networking sites (Facebook (News - Alert), Twitter) and popular streaming Internet entertainment sites like YouTube and Last.fm.

The GXV3140 desktop phone can be purchased for $249 through Grandstream’s worldwide distribution channels.

Get a closer look at the GXV3140 by visiting Grandstream Networks’ (News - Alert) booth #507 at ITEXPO East 2010, to be held Jan. 20 to 22 in Miami. Don’t wait – register now.
