Vidanetwork Technologies and Grandstream Announce Cost-Effective IP Multimedia Phones

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Vidanetwork Technologies, a provider of host and premise based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) application software, and Grandstream Networks (News - Alert), a manufacturer of IP multimedia phones and video surveillance solutions, announced interoperability and certification of Vidanetwork's platforms with Grandstream’s IP video and mulitimedia phones.

The interoperability was carried out between Vidanetwork's Global Office and VOffice Pro VoIP application platforms and Grandstream's GXP21xx/14xx series enterprise HD IP Phones and the GXV31xx next-generation IP Video and Multimedia Phones.

"Completing certification between Vidanetwork's platforms and Grandstream's SIP based HD voice and video phones enables us to deliver a new choice in the VoIP solutions market," said Larry Kong, president of Vidanetwork, in a statement.

"Service providers are looking to offer their customers both high-performance and cost-effective VoIP solutions that are easy to manage and easy to deploy,” Kong added. “Grandstream's products and our platforms deliver affordable, quality VoIP solutions designed to dramatically drive down telephony costs across organizations of all sizes."

Vidanetwork offers a comprehensive range of VoIP and video-over-IP applications, including hosted and premise IP-PBX (News - Alert), business trunking and residential broadband services fully integrated into a single VoIP application platform.

Grandstream's phones support a broad range of audio codecs, advanced telephony features and dual 10M/100M network ports. The GXP21xx/14xx line of IP phones offers superior audio quality and a comprehensive set of advanced features. The Skype (News - Alert)-certified GXV3140 supports SIP and H.264/H.263+ standard.

David Li, CEO of Grandstream Networks, says the combination of Vidanetwork's VoIP applications platform and Grandstream's HD IP phones and video phones creates an attractive opportunity for service providers to deploy high quality and cost-effective voice/video-over-IP solutions to SMBs and enterprise customers.

“We believe this combined solution offers a unique best-value package in the hosted and premise based IP-PBX market," Li added.

Recently, Grandstream announced two new additions to the GXP line of Enterprise HD IP multimedia phones. Both the new GXP1400 and the GXP1405 are built to deliver top-quality HD audio and comprehensive functionality to the market at a competitive price.
