Grandstream Networks Adds GXP1400 and GXP1405 to Line of HD IP Multimedia Phones

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Two new additions to the GXP line of Enterprise HD IP multimedia phones has been announced by Grandstream Networks (News - Alert), a manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony and video surveillance solutions. Both the new GXP1400 and the GXP1405 are built to deliver top-quality HD audio and comprehensive functionality to the market at a price that is nothing less than competitive.

These latest additions released by Grandstream Networks are designed specifically for the SMB space as these IP multimedia phones offer two line keys with dual-color LED, single SIP account, a 128x40 pixel graphical display, as well as support for languages such as Italian, French, German, English, Russian, Korean, Chinese and more.

The new
IP multimedia phones also offer 3 XML programmable context-sensitive soft keys, integrated PoE, dual network ports, and 3-way conferencing. The superior wideband HD audio quality of the new phones compliments the high performance full duplex speakerphone that offers advanced acoustic echo cancellation.

Grandstream Networks also ensured its latest phones offered rich and leading edge telephony features, advanced security protection for privacy through the use of TLS/SRTP/HTTPS, auto provisioning to deliver easy and secure deployment through the TR069 and AES encrypted XML configuration file and broad interoperability with the majority of third-party SIP devices, leading IMS/SIP/NGN platforms and IP PBX (News - Alert) systems.

“We are very excited to announce the GXP1400/1405 HD phones for the small-to-medium business market,” said David Li (News - Alert), CEO of Grandstream Networks, in a statement. “This new product from Grandstream will target the fastest growing demand in the affordability segment of the IP phone market with unrivaled cost-feature-performance advantages and exceedingly compelling value of wideband HD voice at a nearly disruptive price point that’s close to traditional analog phones.”

Both phones will be commercially available through the company’s distribution channels by the end of May, 2011.

In other Grandstream Networks
news, TMCnet recently reported that the company has announced a technology partnership with SIP Print (News - Alert) LLC, the leading Pure SIP Recording Manufacturer. The partnership is expected to enable both companies to mutually certify and endorse each other’s products.

Don Palmer (News - Alert) CEO and president of SIP Print, shared in a
statement, “Grandstream Networks is a natural fit for SIP Print, a highly respected developer of SIP Telephony systems delivering an impressive value proposition to its ever-increasing roster of partners, distributors and customers.”

Earlier this year, Matrix Comsec, a provider of telecom and security solutions for modern businesses and enterprises, announced complete interoperability of Grandstream’s IP-Phones and Multimedia Phones with Matrix IP-Servers.
