Grandstream Offers Free IP Multimedia Phone and IP Camera on Facebook

By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Officials of Grandstream, which sells IP video and surveillance products, want to show you -- yes, you -- how IP allows Grandstream products to work together, and they want to do it by giving away their GXV3140 IP Multimedia Phone AND GXV3615 Cube IP Camera.

To be eligible for the drawing, simply “like” them on Facebook (News - Alert) before May 31, at facebook.com/GrandstreamNetworksInc. That puts your name in the drawing. The winner will be announced June 1.

Grandstream’s products designed using VoIP broadband networks, which “also allows our IP Multimedia Phones and IP Surveillance cameras to work together to maximize the efficiency of your business or home,” company officials say.

The Grandstream IP Multimedia phone can be used to access social media sites, instant messaging, web browsing, RSS feeds, web applications, Internet radio, music and videos as well as to monitor Grandstream surveillance cameras.

A couple weeks ago TMC’s (News - Alert) Stefanie Mosca wrote that Grandstream gave its company website a serious facelift.

Grandstream serves SMB business and consumer markets with products that lower communication costs, increase security protection and enhance productivity, Mosca wrote: “The company’s open standard SIP-based products offer broad interoperability in the industry, unrivaled features, flexibility and price-performance competitiveness.”

The new site immediately displays some of Grandstream’s most innovative and sought-after products. Keeping the same blue and white branding Grandstream customers have come to recognize, the new website offers easier navigation, organized drop-down tabs and draws attention to the company’s social media pages.

The website features Grandstream’s best-selling touchscreen IP multimedia phones the GXV3175 and the GXV3140. The GXV3175 includes a 7 inch touch screen LCD and is an upgrade to the Skype certified GXV3140. It supports video conference, integrated PoE and WiFi (News - Alert), and a variety of built-in rich media applications for Home or Office. The phone also includes a 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera with privacy shutter as well as dual USB ports.
