Interwise Appoints New Executive VP, Worldwide Field Operations

By Stefania Viscusi, TMCnet Assistant Editor

IP Conferencing and Collaboration provider, Interwise, announced today the appointment of James M. Fieger as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations.

Reporting directly to Interwise's President & CEO Frank Zvi, Fieger will oversee worldwide sales, marketing, customer service and partner activities across all regions.

Fieger brings with him 20 years of prior experience in sales and marketing leadership positions as well as successful operations and strategy development.

"James brings exceptional capabilities to Interwise at an important time for the company, as well as for the market that we address. His experience in driving global organizations to over $1 billion in sales will help us seize dramatic growth opportunity we have ahead, as a result of growing demand for converged communications," Zvi commented on the new appointment in a statement to the press.

Prior to this position, he led 3Com's (News - Alert) product and services business where he successfully improved operations and business opportunities for the company. In his career, Fieger also served at Lotus Development Corporation where he, according to a news release, developed "the company's integrated IBM (News - Alert)/Lotus enterprise account strategy, which resulted in a significant increase in sales of Lotus products and IBM solutions through the IBM channel."

In a prediction for the New Year, the company pointed to a rise in company-wide distribution rates of voice and web conferencing, just as email. As well as a diminishing concern in the cost of services as value in their features and IT requirements for solutions, will take focus and leave the company with many oppourtinires for continued success.

Most recently, Interwise made headlines with the announcement that they would expand their IP Conferencing and Collaboration capabilities into the enterprise market in Japan, via a strategic partnership with SoftBank Telecom. As per the partnership, Interwise Connect will become a key technology for Softbank Telecom's ULTINA Communications Platform.
