The cloud is building momentum. Reports are stacking up on the benefits the cloud offers as well as its growing adoption rates. As many businesses choose cloud solutions one model gaining particular attention is the hybrid-cloud by offering the ‘best of both worlds’ to the enterprise.
Today Panasonic (News - Alert) announced its new compact hybrid communication platform, the KX-NS700. Unlike the KX-NS1000 IP communication server, Panasonic has put its crosshairs on the SMB space. The offering is capable of supporting 288 extensions as well as legacy infrastructures.
The KX-NS700 comes equipped with a bevy of features that include:
- The ability to assign two extension the same extension number
- Built in Web server
- Voicemail that can also record/save customer conversations to a server or USB, store up to 400 hours of data and is capable of recording 24 channels at once
- Call routing
The offerings call routing and grouping functions operate regardless of location, and the hybrid communication platform can easily integrate tablets and smartphones to a business communications network. When implemented, it creates a UC environment with its Communication Assistant (CA (News - Alert)) and mobility application compatibility that allows for team members outside of the office to collaborate through tools like chat, image sharing, voice and video calling as well as text to remain on the same page with coworkers in the office.
The communications platforms seamlessly integrates with Panasonic’s line of digital, IP, SIP-based desk phones, its DECT (News - Alert) handsets and offers the ability for a desk extension to ring on wireless handsets. It also comes with preinstalled feature keys that a fair number offer free trials as well as a two-year warranty.
Panasonic is making a play to not just capitalize on the IP communications market but an underserved niche as well—SMBs. The scalability allows for the offering to grow with the business and provide top-notch communication in the process.
