The IP communications market is quite fluid, and as players are jockeying for the best position and constantly upgrading, tweaking or expanding services, it’s easy to see why this is such a highly competitive space. Now news out of Atlanta shows how one IP communications provider is improving its roster.
Birch Communications, a provider of IP-based communications, broadband, cloud and IT services to businesses large and small has announced a new addition to the team — Michelle Ansley, who was named president and chief administrative officer at Birch.
With more than 20 years in human resources and many spent at the executive level, Ansley’s credentials speak volumes. Before joining Birch, Ansley’s resume includes time at IBM (News - Alert) in various positions including human resources, technical and program management as well as learning and development; SVP of Shared Services at Prommis Solutions, LLC; and she served as VP of Human Resources at ASAP Solutions, LLC.
At Birch, Ansley’s primary initiatives are to advance the company’s business strategies and improve upon organizational performance. The new hire will be based out of the company’s Atlanta office, and is tasked with running human resources and facilities.
“We welcome Michelle to her new role as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer,” said Vincent M. Oddo, president and CEO of Birch. “Human Resources and oversight of Facility Management for all Birch locations are vitally important to our growth, and I am confident that her extensive experience combined with her unique mix of operations, project management and business development expertise will be a valuable asset to Birch."
The past few months have seen Birch in the news quite a bit. Back in July, it acquired Cbeyond for $323 million and in October, it was named a Platinum Level Polycom Choice Partner.
As 2014 proved to be an exciting growth year for Birch and with 2015 here, it will be interesting to see what waits around the corner for the company.
