TNCI Offering AT&T Private Network Transport

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

TNCI, a Boston-based, privately held national integrated communications provider for businesses across the United States, recently announced that it signed a multi-year wholesale contract with AT&T (News - Alert) for Voice, Data and IP Networking Solutions. As part of this contract, TNCI has expanded its portfolio of offerings to include AT&T Network Connection (ANC), AT&T Voice over Internet Protocol (IP) Connect Service (AVOICS), and AT&T Private Network Transport (PNT) service. TNCI also uses AT&T local voice services under an existing contract.

TNCI sells a broad range of solutions through its nationwide independent agent channel to small and medium businesses. Through the AT&T PNT offering, it is possible for customers to use MPLS to create a network-based IP VPN by segregating data traffic transmitted over the AT&T IP Network.

“AT&T’s Private Network Transport, our premier MPLS offering, delivers the advantage of site-to-site connectivity for your voice and/or data needs on one of the most reliable Tier 1 IP networks in the country,” said Brenda MacDonald, TNCI VP of Carrier Relations.

Other advantages include segregation of Private Network Traffic (PNT) from other traffic on the network as well as unique VPN ID labels added to data packets that enter the AT&T IP Network and are removed once the data packets reach their destination - so the router can read the data.

MPLS services offer customers the ability to save on costs, support for QoS, better performance and improved disaster recovery.

In addition, every AT&T PNT solution includes Class of Service (CoS) at no additional cost - so that businesses can prioritize traffic as being real-time, high-grade, medium-grade and low-grade data, including pre-determined bandwidth allocations for each CoS.

TNCI offers the TNCInet Advantage network, a suite of solutions including, DIA, Integrated Voice and SIP Trunking, to allow businesses to realize the benefits of true IP convergence and in addition to AT&T, partners with top tier carriers including Sprint, Qwest (News - Alert), Level 3, and One Communications.
