NEC Unified Solutions Announces Four Consecutive Quarters as Key/Hybrid Communications
Systems Leader

IRVING, Texas, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- NEC Unified Solutions, Inc. (NEC), a leader in converged voice and data communications solutions for the enterprise, is proud to announce that it remains the leading communications vendor in the Key Telephone System (KTS)/Hybrid space for the fourth consecutive quarter, according to InfoTech, a firm that tracks the enterprise communications market.

InfoTech's September 2005 report entitled, "InfoTrack for Enterprise Communications, Second Quarter 2005," indicates that starting in the third quarter of 2004, NEC assumed the number one leadership position in the U.S. KTS/Hybrid product area, and has dominated the market share and lines shipped categories in the subsequent four quarters.

NEC's Electra Elite(R) IPK and Aspire(R) are versatile KTS platforms for voice and data network convergence that allow customers to choose between deploying traditional circuit-switched technology, Voice over IP, or hybrid, all from one system. The DS Series(R) is a traditional key system targeted to small to medium business.

"Key and hybrid solutions are an excellent investment for small-to-medium organizations requiring advanced communications systems that are designed for future growth," said Susan Hobart, vice president and senior program director, InfoTech. "NEC's leading quarter-over-quarter presence in the KTS/Hybrid market is an indication that end-users are embracing NEC's technology, offering customers a combination of features, functionality and financial value."

"The NEC strategy to offer customers the freedom to adopt Voice over IP, when and where they need it, has resonated well with the small-to-medium business market," said David King, vice president, Marketing, NEC Unified Solutions. "By offering choice to this targeted market, we have had the incredible ability to drive market leadership and help organizations meet the changing communications demands of their current businesses."
