SolveForce, an MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) provider and ISP, has announced that it has expanded its offerings in California, including hosted VOIP.

“SolveForce is penetrating the telecommunications market for California. There will be a number of Internet services to help companies with online services and dedicated solutions like VPN, VPLS MPLS Networks and T1 lines,” a SolveForce statement said.  “Businesses will be able to select from the top telecom providers and get the services that match their needs.”

The company will offer a variety of services to residential and business customers.

Business can choose dedicated T1 and T3 lines, with either exclusive lines or partial access shared with other customers. They also have access to Fast Ethernet, Metro Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet running on fiber and copper cables.

Dedicated, fast connectivity options like these are ideal for hosted PBX (News - Alert) connections, because VoIP requires a lot of bandwidth, whether on-premises or not.

The company is also touting VoIP access as a way for businesses to save money on phone service, as VoIP requires less maintenance and management than conventional telephony.

Potential customers who want any of these services will be able to choose from over 40 vendors with instant quotes on SolveForce’s website.

The announcement will give customers greater choice as they select the services that meet their needs. The reason that many telecommunications services for both home and business are so expensive is that cable and telephone companies have held an effective monopoly on the “last mile” of their networks connecting to actual customers.

With the FCC (News - Alert) reclassifying broadband providers as common carriers and the offerings of companies like SolveForce, customers could have a fairer playing field when deciding on new telecommunications services, including hosted VoIP.

Companies will have to compete on services instead of just coasting on monopolies. SolveForce said that it treats its customers as “VIPs.”
