File Under Beneficial to Business: Go Hosted for Voice Services

By Michelle Amodio, TMCnet Contributor

The great thing about technology today is that even small businesses can level the playing field when it comes to competing with their larger counterparts. Gone are the days of having to invest large sums of money for an efficient communications system, something that only seemed possible for those companies with larger cash reserves. Hosted communications systems are available to any business with just about any budget, and it’s all because of their very nature: they’re hosted.

Organizations that have implemented VoIP did so because of its real or perceived cost savings over traditional telephony. In this tight economy, small businesses are facing limited budgets. With a tighter budget, it means re-evaluating every dime that is spent, and, for many businesses, communications is one of the essentials that should not be compromised.

Hosted PBX (News - Alert) VoIP is also a good choice when a company or organization can’t be bothered with complicated phone systems. There is no longer any need to worry about scalability and upgrades due to capacity requirements. Managing line cards, trunk cards or space in your capacity is not required. Hosted PBX providers handle capacity, performance and configuration of the total VoIP system.

The hosted model allows businesses added growth flexibility with solutions for every sized business. Not to mention the applications that VoIP provides, so much that Infonetics Research (News - Alert) noted that many organizations are adopting VoIP as a way to influence other forms of communication and predicts that the number of VoIP users will double between 2012 and 2016. Those numbers count for many reasons.

In a hosted model, there is a nominal up-front investment in VoIP compatible telephone sets, but there are no operating, maintenance or upgrade costs to worry about.  A hosted PBX allows businesses added growth flexibility, regardless of size. For the small business, this can mean everything.

A hosted PBX will provide your business with flexibility, mobility, and cost savings without compromising quality, reliability or advanced features.

Has your small business taken advantage of the hosted model yet?
