If you’re looking for hosted VoIP telephony, REVE Systems is offering a product you might be interested in - iTel Switch Plus, on a hosted basis with a monthly payment option.

As company officials say, hosted offerings are particularly good for small and medium size VoIP telephony (voice over IP) providers, as well as for carrier grade VoIP service providers who don't want to take hassle of maintaining and monitoring the softswitch.

This particular offering, the Hosted iTel Switch Plus, has the advantage of being integrated with REVE's billing product, iTel Billing, which can be used for both retail (calling card, call shop, PC to phone, mobile dialer) and wholesale business models.

The upside to this is that a VoIP service provider does not need to invest in a billing module separately, but can simply operate their softswitch and billing platform from their mobile phone using a data network.

Then of course there are the more basic advantages of hosted products themselves. With monthly payment options users can pay monthly rental and get rid of the need for upfront capital investment.

As REVE officials say, they can pick a hosted iTel Switch Plus for as low as $290 a month, and “get the freedom to focus on your business while we manage your hardware, and softswitch.”

Using such a hosted softswitch offering also lets users get a quick start on their VoIP business, since like other hosted products, iTel Switch Plus allows users to get a quick service set-up ready to business that takes a few days.

There are also the advantages of 24x7 managed services, where the client’s hosted softswitch is managed and hosted by REVE on their servers, which means they can “concentrate on your business and leave the rest on us,” as REVE officials say.It’s also a complete suite of VoIP services in one platform.

Unlike other softswitches available in the market, hosted iTel Switch Plus comes integrated with its own VoIP billing system, as noted above, “so you need not install and configure the billing software on your own.”
