VoIP Hosted PBX service allows users to place free unlimited calls anywhere with broadband Internet access merely by dialing a four digit extension. Users can talk to co-workers on the other side of the planet as if they were only on the other side of the building. Crystal clear quality is also part of the service.
Costly traditional PDX systems are steadily being replaced by VoIP Hosted PBX ( News - Alert) service. Thanks to this technology, small to medium-sized enterprises can have a business voice system thanks to the affordability of a hosted service and of the new VoIP technology.
A rich and flexible feature set is offered by the service, boasting both classical PBX functionality and advanced features. It also interoperates with VoIP systems and traditional standards-based telephony systems. Voicemail, conference bridging, call queuing and call detail records, all features which are traditionally only offered in a large costly enterprise PBX system--are now available to all businesses via the VoIP Hosted PBX.
Among the other common features of hosted PBX are: call authentication, call retrieval, do-not-disturb, interactive directory listing, predictive dialer, roaming extensions, transcoding, VoIP gateways and web voicemail interface.
Hosted PBX also boasts scalability, allowing direct connection of Asterisk ( News - Alert) PBX, as well as integration of physically separate installations. It works with a variety of protocols, ranging from Inter-Asterisk Exchange and SIP to Media Gateway Control and Cisco ( News - Alert) Skinny.
