Avaya Expands its Asia Pacific Leadership Team

Avaya (News - Alert), a global provider of business communications and collaboration systems and services, recently added two new executives, Ray Teske and Lee Chong-Win, to its Asia Pacific Leadership Team.

The announcement will see Ray Teske, a communications industry veteran, assuming leadership of a Service Provider and Global Alliances business across the Asia Pacific region.

In his new role, he will work with APAC Service Providers to bring to market cloud-based communication capabilities and solutions for businesses across the region.

Using Avaya’s global and APAC experience, Teske and his team will deploy cloud-based solutions and will continue to drive innovative hosted models and solutions to reduce cost of ownership and deployment for both service providers and end users.

In a statement, François Lançon, President, Asia Pacific, Avaya, said, “The time is right to further enhance our focus on delivering innovative cloud and hosted business models to a broad Asia Pacific customer base, especially in support of our service provider partners, and Ray, with his extensive experience in driving businesses throughout the APAC geography is the ideal leader for this business.”

Another enhancement to the Asia Pacific Leadership Team is Lee Chong-Win. Appointed as the new Managing Director, ASEAN for Avaya, Win will be responsible for continuing to drive growth in this dynamic and varied market, with a focus on the core countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam while growing Avaya’s business and presence in Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.

Lee boasts of extensive communications industry experience from previous leadership roles at Nortel, EMC (News - Alert) and Periphonics, spanning sales, professional services and engineering disciplines.

Officials confirmed that both Teske and Lee will continue to be based in Bangkok and Singapore respectively.
