Business cloud communications solution provider M5 Networks (News - Alert) has added MicroCorp to its Master Agent Partner Program. Under the arrangement, MicroCorp will offer M5's award-winning voice, unified communication, and hosted contact center solutions to its clients. A Telecom Master Agency, MicroCorp was founded in 1986 and currently manages more than 1,500 professional Agents and VARS across the United States. The company supports carrier contracts with more than 40 vendors and operates Nautilus, its own cloud based CRM and Back Office application. The company is a Graduate Member of the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech.
"MicroCorp is very excited to have M5 Networks as a new partner," said Brad Miehl, president and chief executive officer of MicroCorp, in a company statement. "Our agents and customers have been clear about their need for a state-of-the art, cloud-based business phone solution that can also support their need for unified communications. M5's proven track record of reliability and outstanding customer service makes them an excellent choice."
The Master Agent Partner Program from M5 helps technology solution providers deliver hosted communication services. The addition of MicroCorp and its large contingent of master agents benefits the M5 Master Agent Program by providing access to a community of agents that frequently sell exclusively through MicroCorp.
"MicroCorp is one of the original master agencies with a considerable and respected distribution channel. Their impeccable reputation for providing outstanding customer support aligns perfectly with our mission to provide phone systems and applications with an experience that businesses love," said Bob Maute, M5 Networks' VP of Channels and Alliances. "We believe our cloud-based phone solution will give MicroCorp agents a significant advantage in the marketplace."
M5 Networks’ range of services includes hosted contact centers, call centers and business phones. Based in New York City, the company was one of the earliest leaders in hosted VoIP in 2000. Currently, M5 Networks provides service and support to more than 2,000 companies with enterprise-class phone systems. Last month, ShoreTel (News - Alert) Inc. announced plans to acquire M5 Networks for $162.4 million. A voice of internet protocol (VoIP) developer, ShoreTel agreed to pay M5 shareholders more than $84 million in cash and distributed 9.5 million shares of company stock, worth roughly $64.7 million to cover the transaction, which was expected to close by the end of March.
