Unified communications solutions developer, Applied Voice & Speech Technologies (AVST), has released  the latest application in its family of Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) solutions, CX-S. The company said that CX-S delivers enterprise-class mobility and speech solutions to small and mid-sized businesses and contact center operations. The solution is built on the company’s interoperable UC platform.

AVST noted that CX-S is target at businesses that need to boost productivity in an affordable manner. The solution provides a complete UC solution that features AVST Mobile for iPhone and Android (News - Alert)-based smartphones and mobile devices, a speech-enabled automated attendant and personal assistant, unified messaging, single number reach and voicemail, in an integrated platform comprising both hardware and software.

“Built from the rich heritage of AVST's CallXpress platform, CX-S is truly a unique offering with a robust UC feature set,” remarked James Emm, CEO at Oak Telecom, in a company statement. “It is an affordable, comprehensive UC solution for SMBs with the recently released AVST Mobile client for iPhone (News - Alert) and Android as well as unified messaging with robust speech functionality as well as a speech-enabled name dialer amongst other applications. With CX-S, AVST has now made enterprise-class UC solutions affordable for small businesses.”

AVST said that the solution can be combined with all major IP-PBX brands, premise-based and cloud e-mail solutions, allowing businesses to exploit the entire potential of existing communications infrastructure.  CX-S is offered as a turnkey UC solution with simple deployment and low maintenance costs, making it an attractive choice for small businesses, the company said.

“AVST's introduction of CX-S provides the SMB market with access to enterprise-class UC features at an affordable price,” noted Hardy Myers (News - Alert), AVST's CEO. “In designing CX-S, we leveraged our extensive experience delivering best-of-breed UC solutions to enterprise customers worldwide for a solution with rich functionality in a form factor that is easy-to-deploy and maintain and is priced aggressively for the SMB market.”Released in two configurations for small and mid-sized businesses, the solution can support up to 50 users or up to 100 users. The solution is available with a standard three-year software and on-site hardware warranty.

“CX-S makes it possible to achieve measureable business productivity improvements. SMBs invest in best-of-breed solutions because they crave simplicity and a high degree of integration in the offerings they buy. We meet with many organizations that desire easily implemented and integrated solutions which fit into their existing architecture. CX-S is designed to deliver to that requirement,” commented Paul Cheslaw, AVST vice president and general manager, EMEA.

AVSR is based in Orange (News - Alert) County, California, with facilities in Seattle, Washington, Victoria, British Columbia., Canada and the United Kingdom.
