OnState Communications, a provider of on-demand virtual call center solutions, has announced support for
Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), a Web-based storage service offered by Amazon Web Services (News - Alert).
In addition to other premise and cloud-based options, customers of OnState can now use Amazon S3 to store critical files -- call recordings and chat transcripts -- in a secure and reliable manner, said company officials.
With Amazon S3, users can store and retrieve any amount of data from any location at any time. It provides a durable infrastructure designed for mission-critical data storage. Moreover, the service delivers 99.99 percent availability backed by a stringent service level agreement, said company officials.
Additionally, it simplifies compliance with government and industry regulations such as HIPAA and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). This enables enterprises to preserve and secure confidential customer conversations and sensitive business interactions.
The addition of Amazon S3 provides OnState (News - Alert) customers an option for chat and call recording storage in the same scalable and secure infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network of Web sites.
OnState and Amazon S3 enable businesses to enjoy enterprise-class scalability and security, and eliminate the expense or hassles of a conventional premise-based solution. Thanks to a cloud-based virtual call center solution from OnState and call recording storage in the cloud from Amazon S3, enterprises can add users and capacity on-the-fly while responding to the changing business requirements in a timely fashion, said company officials.
"With the addition of Amazon S3 to our already versatile storage options for the chat and call recording components of our virtual call center solutions, our customers can now leverage Amazon's highly scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure to store important customer communications records," said Pat Kelly (News - Alert), CEO at OnState.
Earlier this year in March, OnState Communications made its solutions available through the Google (News - Alert) Apps Marketplace.
