Unicoi Systems, a provider of hardware and software solutions to the embedded device market, announced the release of its Fusion HD Voice Engine for multiple platforms.

Fusion HD Voice Engine is a comprehensive Voice over Internet Protocol or "VoIP" solution created for IP phones, radios, terminal adapters and gateways. It is designed to produce the best quality sound possible in Internet telephony, according to company officials.
The solution provides a fully-integrated suite of codecs, algorithms, and critical voice services and features now for a variety of hardware and software configurations, the company said.
It integrates features such as Unicoi's family of wideband and narrowband voice codecs, acoustic and line echo cancellation software, a dynamic jitter buffer, and a packet loss compensation module.
According to company officials, Fusion HD Voice Engine combines "the best available voice solutions to produce an unmatched end-user experience on most any hardware and software platform."
"Our HD voice engine was so successful on the initial set of supported operating systems and processors that we were compelled to extend it to a greater range of IP telephony platforms," Greg Coonley, CEO and co-founder of Unicoi Systems, said.
Earlier this year Unicoi Systems announced the release of Fusion SIP version 5.1 for secure VoIP telephony and intercommunications equipment developers, TMCnet reported. In addition to significant improvements to the Fusion SIP code base, Fusion SIP, the new release offers updated support for NAT Traversal and Session Timer.
Unicoi Systems offer services to leading technology companies including Motorola, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Sharp, Raytheon (News - Alert), Cisco Systems and Sony.
In May the company launched the Fusion Embedded reference design for radio over IP or "RoIP" applications, TMCnet reported. The Fusion Embedded VoIP reference design from Unicoi offers a low power platform, which can be used to develop next generation RoIP applications with constantly shorter development cycles.
