HD Conference Provider ClearOne to Showcase Audio Conferencing Offerings

By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor

As more and more companies search for high tech solutions designed to help them save money and boost employee productivity, conferencing solutions are rising to the top of the list.

And one Utah-based HD conference manufacturing company hopes to raise awareness of its products by showcasing new solutions at an upcoming industry conference.

ClearOne will introduce its conferencing systems and speakerphones, as well as its Personal Conferencing line at VoiceCon San Francisco 2009, a conference that focuses on the evolution in enterprise communications to IP Telephony and unified communications systems, software and services. The conference and exhibition, which targets industry's vendors, analysts and consultants, is scheduled for Nov. 3 and 4 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif.

“After almost 20 years, VoiceCon has emerged as one of the premier IP telephony events," said Mark Child, director of product marketing - Telephony, at ClearOne (News - Alert), in a statement. "Users from across all industries come to VoiceCon to learn about those products and applications that are leading the evolution in enterprise communications. ClearOne's audio and collaboration solutions are a natural fit for those organizations that are looking for ways to increase productivity and reduce expenses."

During the event, ClearOne officials will feature it Personal Conferencing products, which include the CHAT 60, CHAT 160, CHAT 70 and CHAT 170. The CHAT 60 and CHAT 160 products are speakerphones that are certified for use with Skype (News - Alert). Meanwhile, ClearOne’s CHAT 70 and CHAT 170 speakerphones are optimized for use with Microsoft (News - Alert) Office Communications Server 2007.

These new speakerphones join ClearOne’s CHAT 50 and the CHAT150, which give users the capability to deploy HD conferencing solutions from the road. The devices connect via USB to laptops or PCs for, hands-free audio communication, without the need to be tied to the PC by a headset. These speakerphones offer full-duplex capability for top-notch communications, company officials said.

In addition, ClearOne will highlight its Tabletop Conferencing products, including the MAX IP, reportedly the industry's first expandable room conferencing system. MAX IP is SIP-based and users can “daisy-chain” up to four phones together room coverage, flexibility and control. The company also offers analog wired and wireless versions of the MAX conference phones.

Each ClearOne conferencing product contains HDConference, the suite of high-performance audio technologies the company created specifically for its conferencing systems.

With the growing adoption of HD conferencing and collaboration solutions, ClearOne has reported an uptick in business this year. Recently, the company was named one of Utah's top public companies by Utah Business Magazine.
