By Patrick Barnard, Senior Web Editor, TMCnet
The CHAT 70 – not to be confused with the CHAT 170 that the company introduced earlier this year – is a personal speakerphone connects via USB to laptops or PCs for hands-free audio communication.
ClearOne is a Certified Partner in the Microsoft (News - Alert) Partner Program. As of late the company has been rapidly releasing high performance audio solutions that support users of Microsoft's unified communications platform. In a release the company claims the CHAT 70 “delivers full-duplex capability for crystal-clear communications and is the perfect addition to the office or home office, providing convenient, high-quality audio for users of Office Communicator 2007.”
“The combination of ClearOne's CHAT 70 and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 will enable organizations to better connect people, information and business processes,” said Moz Hussain, director, Microsoft Unified Communications (News - Alert) Group at Microsoft Corp., in the release. “The CHAT 70 contains HDConference, ClearOne's suite of high-performance audio technologies that encompasses such things as full duplex, echo cancellation, noise reduction and adaptive modeling. Taken separately, each technology is best-in-class and a critical component to a quality audio experience. In combination, these elements make conferencing and collaboration a more natural experience. The CHAT 70 also delivers completely plug-and-play operation, requiring no software or drivers to be installed.
Las week ClearOne announced availability of the Converge SR 1212A digital signal processing mixer. Designed for sound reinforcement applications (i.e. distributing high quality sound throughout a room or facility), the mixer sports a four channel power amplifier which interfaces with 8 ohm or 70v/100v loudspeaker systems. It is designed for use in courtrooms, council chambers, corporate and AV presentation rooms, and is useful for room combining, training/lectures, high quality paging and voice masking applications.
