UberConference has launched Google (News - Alert) Docs add-on.
Thanks to the UberConference add-on, which can be found in Google's newly launched add-on store, anyone can now make collaboration live by seamlessly creating a conference call with all editors of a Google Doc.
"With the UberConference add-on for Google Docs, live editing becomes a live conversation with the click of a button," said Craig Walker (News - Alert), CEO and co-founder, UberConference, in a statement.
Walker said that the UberConference add-on makes editing in a Google Doc interactive and much more manageable.
The great thing about Google Docs is live editing by multiple users of the same document. The problem is that sometimes the editing process would be smoother if everyone working on the document could talk to each other while working.
UberConference add-on for Google Docs offers this facility.
One click to get all your viewers and editors of a document on the call. Just enable the UberConference add-on within your Google Doc, and it will load a sidebar with your UberConference dial-in information, the company said. The UberConference add-on shows who is talking at all times. UberConference also makes it easy to record the conference call for future reference.
The Google Docs integration is another in a series of integrations to make UberConference work well with Google properties.
Earlier in February, UberConference had announced the integration of DropBox, further expanding its in-conference document sharing capabilities. Now UberConference users can share any document in a DropBox account with everyone on the call.
Participants on an UberConference call can share a DropBox document by clicking the "Share Files" button in the UberConference dashboard. Once they choose a file from DropBox to share, it appears in the conferencing window where everybody can access it. When the meeting is over, links to the shared files are sent to all participants in the UberConference Call Summary.
The DropBox integration adds to UberConference's extensive document sharing capabilities through Google Drive, Box (News - Alert), and Evernote.
