Instant access to communication and Real time communication has certainly transformed work places into power centers, and in the age of the Internet, what could be better than have next generation features that help people connect, communicate and collaborate even from Web applications or Web pages?
Esna Technologies (News - Alert) (Esna), reputed for its cloud-enabled communication and collaboration software, is already on its way there. The release of version 9.1 of Esna’s award winning Officelinx unified communications platform and a new version of the Esna iLink Pro Chrome browser extension will apparently ensure real-time communications capability directly into any cloud application.
“Version 9.1 of Officelinx and our enhanced iLink Pro represent the next generation of communication tools that work the way people do,” noted said Lee Ho, vice president of marketing at Esna.
The Officelinx platform, capable of interoperating with almost any voice or PBX (News - Alert) system, claims to help businesses drive collaboration across the enterprise with easy-to-access, ubiquitous communications that are accessible from within the applications that users work in every day. In short, it helps integrate mobility, presence and messaging technology with cloud business applications.
So what’s new in the latest version?
Actionable voicemail allows users to escalate voice messages to a live voice or video conversation with the caller. In addition, users can connect with those that they want to communicate with. Officelinx presence and geo-location services integrated with Google Maps, helps to locate them and converse in real-time. Users can also post critical voice messages to Twitter (News - Alert) and Google+.
Esna’s fax services enables employees to send and receive fax messages anytime, anywhere using standard mail-client software. Other Web administration tools for user management have also been revamped.
The new iLink Pro HTML5 client goes even further. People can initiate voice calls without having to leave the application they are working on. And, in case a conversation is begun in one application, users can continue the same in another application. The iLink’s Persistent Communication feature does live up to its name.
Users can also chat with a single person or with a group of people, and can easily add people to any IM session, sharing their location right within the chat window.
The launch of Officelinx 9.1 will take place on Thursday October 3rd, 2013 at 11:30 am EST during a broadcast on Google (News - Alert)+ Hangouts on Air.
