Syniverse Unveils Google Play Billing for KPN Group

Syniverse, a provider of cloud-based solutions, unveiled its Google Play billing for KPN (News - Alert) Group, a telecommunications and information technology service provider. The new solution is designed to enable one-click buying from Google’s app store and lets KPN Group give a secure payment option for its customers with Android (News - Alert) phones.

In-app Billing is a Google (News - Alert) Play service that lets users sell digital content from inside their applications. Users can make use of the service to sell a wide range of content, including downloadable content such as media files or photos, virtual content such as game levels or potions, premium services and features, and more.
Syniverse explained that its Direct Operator Billing (DOB) provides a service that enables easy applications monetization, full e-commerce experience, reliable billing event tracking, fast payouts, optimal end-user experience and predictable revenues while guaranteeing high sales conversion rate. With Syniverse DOB, KPN Group can hope to let its customers with Android handsets easily purchase content on Google Play, including apps and games, through a simple, seamless payment process that adds the charge to their mobile phone bills.
KPN Group can also leverage the DOB to differentiate itself from other providers by delivering more compelling user experience and greater customer convenience. The back-end integration of Syniverse DOB with Google, helps KPN Group open up more revenue streams.
In related news, Syniverse took part in the Environmental Defense Fund program for the second year and announced an agreement to provide its IPX Network and Diameter Signaling Service to Hong Kong mobile network operator SmarTone.
