Cirrus Insight Unites Gmail, Salesforce

Cirrus Insight is a browser plugin for Google (News - Alert) Chrome and Firefox, connecting key functions of the popular Salesforce Customer Management System (CMS) with the Gmail Web interface offered in both a free and premium version by Cirruspath LLC.
Several small and medium sized businesses use Gmail as their primary email client. Some also use Salesforce as their primary contacts database. A common workflow system for most salesmen at companies who use both is to run Salesforce and Gmail in separate windows and alternate between the two of them to action both inboxes.
Cirrus Insight brings the vast majority of common Salesforce tasks into the Web interface of Gmail so users can stop switching between windows and save time. The ease of use inside Gmail is limited only by its narrow focus. It really is an email only client, but Cirrus Insight will make it home for so many salesmen.
"Cirrus Insight is addressing a major pain point in sales and customer support,” said Ryan Huff, founder and CEO of Cirruspath. “Customer information is in Salesforce, but customer communication happens in Gmail. Cirrus Insight puts the right information in the right place at the right time."
The market agrees with Huff. Three months after its launch, Cirrus Insight was ranked the most popular app on the Salesforce AppExchange, and boasts some rave user reviews.
Installation is simple, and supports all versions of Salesforce including Unlimited, Enterprise, Professional, Group, Contact Manger and Developer. Even the premium version of the plugin is available at $9.00 per month, with the free version carrying all the same security and much of the most popular features. Many businesses will likely embrace the free version alone, but it is unknown what percentage of its customers Cirruspath must convert to premium subscribers in order to remain profitable. The company will probably not struggle to remain solvent with such an all star app in its lineup.
