Many different types of disasters that affect companies can have wide repercussions that influence every area of a business. Businesses need to be prepared to effectively deal with the scale of these problems, whether simple or complex. For example, if an email system is disabled, the ramifications can be widespread. The loss of critical business processes and the accompanying communication failure can cause impaired productivity, missed or delayed business transactions, and dissatisfied customers.
Fortunately, a broad array of resources is available to mitigate these concerns. Recently, Esnatech, a global provider of cloud-enabled unified communication solutions, announced the release of the Office-LinX Cloud Connect edition. The platform provides today's hybrid enterprises with mobility, presence, and messaging applications that significantly improve workforce productivity. These kinds of solutions exist at every level, from low-cost backup and email archiving to cloud-based document archiving services, such as Google Apps and VMware Zimbra. Office-LinX Cloud Connect leverages the Cisco (News - Alert) Jabber SDK to integrate with Unity Connection and transforms those groupware applications into a live communication and collaboration hub.
According to Davide Petramala, EVP of Sales for Esnatech, “We are pleased with the results of the beta release for Office-LinX Cloud Connect and have already begun to deploy in wide release. Our customers who are already using Office-LinX Cloud Connect, including higher education institutions, state and local government agencies and large commercial enterprises, have given us great feedback on its ease of use, robust feature set and seamless integration with cloud- and premise-based productivity solutions.”
The term ‘beta’ implies a contract with the user to mean that a company is trying earnestly to move the environment forward through the use of a solution that still requires some work. Beta also communicates to endusers that their help will be needed in the form of feedback, error reporting, and enhancement requests.
In an era of communications and media overload, combining an existing phone system with cloud applications provides a critical means for increasing productivity. For example, when you can choose from a range of communication devices and a range of applications, it’s easier than ever to maximize response times to clients and colleagues.
“As more organizations move their email to the cloud, the need to connect their existing phone system with cloud applications like Google (News - Alert) Gmail has never been greater,” said Tom Dawes, VP Sales Engineering of Sentinel Technologies. “Office-LinX Cloud Connect bridges the gap between Cisco Unity Connection and Google Apps, and allows us to provide our customers a turn-key solution that is quick and easy to deploy.”
