Esna Technologies (News - Alert) Inc. recently released version 8.1 of Office-LinX. Office-LinX is a unified communications (UC) software platform that delivers mobility and messaging and version 8.1 brings the technology to a whole new level. The new platform allows companies to integrate UC with cloud-based technologies including Google Apps, Vmware, Zimbra (News - Alert), and Microsoft BPOS.
As a result, the new platform makes communication quicker and easier. Version 8.1 allows UC to be present in any mobile device or cloud-based email application. There’s integration of live voice services as dialing, messaging, call control, and presence come with cloud-based applications.
“Extending our unified messaging services to cloud-based email allows us to help customers meet their messaging needs and hit cost targets without sacrificing key functionality around communications and collaboration,” said Davide Petramala, VP of Sales and Marketing at Esna Technologies. “Organizations will now be able to focus on application investment instead of hardware and infrastructure upgrades.”
Office-LinX version 8.1 does help to address certain requirements about communication. These include 64-bit OS support for the 8.1 application server, enhanced presence support for key voice environments, and extended legacy voicemail emulation support.
In leveraging cloud-based applications, the new platform also consists of UC services for Google (News - Alert) Apps and unified messaging support for BPOS. The UC services for Google Apps include Unified Messaging, IVR, auto-attendant, fax services, and Google Talk enterprise voice presence.
The Unified Communications (News - Alert) industry is one that continues to grow. With Esna Technologies continuing to release Office-LinX models, the market is only going to continue to advance. Office-LinX version 8.1 is now available for download online.
