Tufin Technologies, a provider of Security Policy Orchestration solutions, has joined hands with Stonesoft, a McAfee (News - Alert) Group Company. Through this partnership, both the companies have completed the first phase of the integration of their management interfaces.
This joint solution will offer improved network security to joint customers of these two companies. In effect, the solution brings together Tufin’s security policy orchestration with Stonesoft’s contextual awareness and enables the users to easily manage the complex, dynamic, multi-vendor networks. With this partnership, Tufin has become the first vendor to integrate Stonesoft’s new Security Management Center API.
The 5.6 release of the Security Management Center (SMC) is equipped with an Application Programming Interface (API). In other words, it makes the task of managing the Next Generation Firewall simpler. It also enables integrations between the SMC and third-party management systems. This new release is based on the REST architecture and it allows network managers to automate various tasks.
Stonesoft Security Management Center (SMC) helps users to manage and automate network security operations. According to the company, version 5.6 is ideal in environments that consist of security elements from multiple vendors. Version 5.6’s SMC API is part of the standard release and hence, it requires no license.
