FoIP Player FaxCore Named INTERNET TELEPHONY's Product of the Year
By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor
Is it possible that fax technology is still an important communication platform within the enterprise? Even in an all-IP environment, fax technology is still a priority channel, it just has taken on a new platform - FoIP, or Fax over IP. FaxCore is a key player in this space and TMC (News - Alert) recently recognized the provider for its performance.
FaxCore 2010 has been named the recipient of the 2010 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award for the 5th consecutive year. The FoIP provider has demonstrated the value that it brings to the industry and those who rely on its technology to streamline fax communications on IP networks.
“TheFaxCore Application has led the market in innovative technology since its initial release in the early part of the 21st Century. FaxCore was the first fax server built on a .NET (News
- Alert) Framework and with .NET 4.0 we continue that legacy,” said Tom Linhard, FaxCore’s president, in a statement.
“We are extremely proud to receive this prestigious award for the fifth year in a row. It is very rewarding to be recognized by TMC for our commitment to support new and innovative technologies and providing customers with the best fax server in the industry,” Linhard added.
The 2010 Product of the Year winners were published in the February 2011 issue of INTERNET TELEPHONY. This publication has been considered the authority in IP communications since 1998.
“I am pleased to announce FaxCore (News - Alert) as a Product of the Year Award winner. The editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY have verified that FaxCore 2010 displays quality and innovation plus provides real needs in the marketplace,” stated Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. “I would like to congratulate FaxCore for its commitment to advancing IP communication technologies.”
In a recent TMC video, Linhard focused on the importance of fax communications for the enterprise as they consummate a business relationship or transaction and it is important that they are sent and received reliably every time. T.38 has not been reliable, and there are challenges with Internet connections, creating opportunities for providers like FaxCore to deliver the necessary reliability consumers are used to in a TDM fax environment, only with FoIP technology.
With the company’s etherFAX solution, customers gain access to a FoIP platform, without the telco implementation on their network. The fax ports are deployed and managed in a separate data center and the demand for this capability is so great, FaxCore has seen it grow 1200 percent each year.
Max Schroeder (News - Alert), senior vice president of FaxCore, shared in this video that FaxCore is a pure fax server player, meaning that FaxCore sells nothing else. The company has been in this industry for a long time and company leaders bring more than 20 years in fax server technology each so they can plug this expertise into their solutions to deliver true value to all customers.
