Officials with LifeGuardian Technologies, LLC, a distributor of life saving emergency medical alert devices, were suffering numerous headaches with their current business phone system. So it finally found a cure with RingCentral (News - Alert), a cloud-based phone system provider.
RingCentral, a San Mateo, Calif.-based firm that combines a multi-extension business phone system with advanced voice and fax functionality, unlimited calling and fully-featured phones, discovered the root of LifeGuardian Technologies’ pain – its high bills. Company Director Thomas C. Franks said he paid at least $800 per month to a variety of vendors for a PBX (News - Alert) system, local, long distance, toll-free and voicemail services.
By switching to RingCentral Office, Franks now receives the same services from one provider and pays $99 a month.
LifeGuardian officials said it sought RingCentral Office services because of the firm’s self service and on-demand nature. For example, the instant purchase, configuration, activation and management capabilities don’t require any technical skills and can be done simply online anywhere in the world via an Internet browser. RingCentral Office also offered LifeGuardian an array of business class capabilities, ease of use, scalability, and the ability to consolidate communications with one provider, officials said.
The California-based company, which operates a remote office in Florida, needed a business-class phone system that would let company officials route mission-critical calls seamlessly across multiple locations, and that would fit their growth needs. Hassled by working with five different providers, LifeGuardian’s legacy telecommunications system was expensive and failed to meeting its business needs.
“We were struggling with the cost and hassle of dealing with multiple communications providers,” Franks said. “Finding RingCentral Office was a revelation—the system is very flexible and the voice quality is crystal clear. The IP phones are top quality, and our sales office in Florida sounds like it is right here at our main office in California. With RingCentral, we have a high quality, full featured business phone system that was implemented easily and flawlessly without any down time.”
“In addition to the significant cost savings, we have a world class phone system that outpaces our much larger competitors and allows us maintain a consistent, professional image across our office locations,” he said.
