VOCAL Technologies (News - Alert) has just released the Tr-069 VoIP software stack complete with integrated fax image extraction and lawful interception (LI) capabilities through PSTN or IP networks.
The Tr-069 platform includes a range of remote management tools for LI assets, auto-provisioning and other various networked devices, which allow for the triggering of device reconfiguration based on network events. Using fax demodulation software to extract images from PSTN audio signals, VOCAL’s facsimile LI library is ideal for assisting law enforcement and government officials in surveillance.
Through the LI module, users are able to;
- Extract page data to viewable image files
- Process in real-time on a continuous stream
- Analyze and classify traffic by voice, data, facsimile, modulation and other non-standard methods
- Detect non-standard signaling
- Extract fax tones and DTMF/MF tones as well as pulse dial information
- Run on Windows, Linux or embedded platforms
Since the Tr-069 stack is VoIP/FoIP, SIP signaling and communications content rarely, if ever, use the same routing successively - sometimes changing routes mid-transfer even. Codecs, protocols, routing and other parameters are all detected on-the-fly with the built-in LI library, making surveillance possible even in the most unlikely of scenarios.
If the data is pre-recorded, the Tr-069 stack can just as easily sift through data to pull out viewable image files.
Under the hood, Tr-069 generates information through a series of HTTP/ACS (News - Alert) connections while parsing and generating SOAP and XML messages and finally executes the Remote Procedure Calls to the CPE.
Both the LI and Fax Image Extraction modules are easily integrated with minimal system resource requirements, making for a lightweight and powerful suite of interception software. “Customers can leverage our integrated software suite to quickly add new features to their applications. It reduces system integration efforts and gets new products to market more quickly,” said Dave Jamieson of VOCAL.
